Precision Athletics Bootcamp

Summer is coming! Ready to shed a few of those extra Winter pounds and have some fun? Do I sound like a cheezy pitch man?
If you answered, yes, to the first two, you should give Precision Athletics a shout.
We did this shoot awhile back for their Bootcamp and we had a great time.
Craig Boyd, the owner & one of the quality trainers wrangled the models and put the shoot in motion.
Thanks to Dave Hamilton for coming along and helping light this beautiful space!

Mr. Budd

I've been slacking slightly on my blog and this is a good reason to update it!

Last week I was fortunate enough to shoot headshots for Keith Budd a local actor and business man. Keith came in with some ideas and looks that he wanted to shoot (no pun intended).
I soon figured out that his natural smile and was all the "look" I needed. We shot some studio shots in...the studio. Duh. And then as always, i like to get some natural lighting shots in as well, depending on the weather. ;)
Take a look at the results and feel free to let me know what you think!

Chris Johnstone

I've known Chris for over 10 years now, and I can honestly say that "CJ" is as good as they come.
We knocked this shoot off in under an hour and Chris's sense of humour and professionalism made him as always a pleasure to work with....
If you're looking for someone to handle your finances that you can trust, look no further than Chris. He's an up and coming Financial Advisor with Freedom 55 and I know he'll succeed based on his honesty, and pure energy.

As always, a pleasure working with you Chris.

Dimitri Arvantis - hits the mark...

Arv, Jimmy....really do I need to say more?
Dimitri, one of my oldest friends and a budding actor, asked me to update his headshot portfolio recently.
Dimitri had quite a specific look he was targeting and after some discussion I was on track as well.
I decided to shoot him up-close and focus on his eyes and face and let his personality do the rest.
Dimitri's road to this profession has always amazed and inspired me and I am honoured to help him continue with it.
Thanks bro.

Sikorsky Re-fit

Last week I had an opportunity to shoot out at the Boundary Bay Airport for CHC Helicopters at one of there subsidiary companies Heli-One.
This Skikorsy chopper had just come out after a 2 million dollar re-fit and was about to depart on a 5 day trip down to Trinidad for National Helicopter Services.
They asked me to come down and take some marketing shots of the new ship and the crew with the sales director.
I love helicopters (who doesn't?) but man are they expensive..... this bad boy was sold for $11 Million.
Sure would beat the ferry line-ups.

Oh, and the handicap placard was a joke. I think....

Jody Quine - Musician Extraordinaire.

Last Sunday I had the opportunity to work with a long time friend and one that I hadn't seen in ages the incredibly talented Jody Quine. We've been trying to get together for a few months now to collaborate on a shoot and we finally made it happen.
She brought along her friend Trevor Sand as her stylist (make-up & hair as well). We started down on Spanish banks and used the remaining day light to capture the initial images....
I wanted to hit up this spot in Pacific Spirit park (Endowment Lands, for anyone that was actually born in Van) and use some lights on the reservoir off of of 16th & Sasamat. We did a little Blair Witch and ventured into the forest for the remaining shots.
Thanks to both Jody and Trevor for putting this together and being great lighting assistants.
I look forward to working with both of you again!

Mike, Will & Kate

Will Pratt, Mike Wilcox and Kate MacPhail. A dynamic realtor team with Royal Lepage.
Unfortunately, this is all I can tell you about this shoot as I've been sworn to secrecy! Mike & Will & Kate are 3 of Vancouver's top realtor's so check them out... http://www.mikeandwill.com/

We shot down at the boat launch at Vanier Park this week and just like any realtor, prying them off phone calls with clients was the hardest part!
Good luck guys, with everything.... ;)
